Jean Federspiel Thomson

Sales Career

In 1984 Jean's career began in sales where she sold employment solutions to corporations. She was quickly promoted to branch management where she spent the next several years managing both sales and operations.  



Over time Jean realized that sales was her passion, and that she wanted to sell sales training and consulting.  This is when she joined Learning International (formally Xerox Learning Systems) and embraced Professional Selling Skills (PSS®) as her core product and the catalyst for achieving her goal of becoming one of the best salespeople in the world.



Soon Jean found a new passion brewing - coaching.   When she realized her clients (Sales Leaders) were not coaching their salespeople in the field, she began helping her clients create internal sales coaching practices as a value-add for doing business with her.  


And Shazam!   


Both she and her clients achieved dramatic results.


Always on the cusp of innovation, Jean decided to present a business plan to her employer, one of the largest skills based training companies in the world. Soon, Jean was given the opportunity to start an internal coaching practice where she hired a national team of sales coaches to on-board and develop 50 new salespeople.  It was a resounding success and time for Jean to expand her reach to help more clients. 



Jean's former CEO recruited her to consolidate the sales organizations of eight training companies.  Here Jean developed a buyer-focused Customer Relationship Process, which served as the cornerstone for a new sales and performance management system and business issue sales training program. Jean once again had equipped a new sales force to win business in a highly competitive market.


Over the last 20 years as an independent coach, workforce consultant and business owner, Jean has brought her excitement and expertise to the field of sales by using human data analytics to diagnose underlying performance issues and create high-impact solutions in the areas of:
